以尺度為線索進行結構體系探索，得出一款兼顧設計與強功能的泛用性餐邊櫃。Benesse Cabinet 直島櫃正是探討微觀建築與活動空間之間制約又互動的關係。

用“圖解建築”（Diagrammatic Architecture）的方式，預測櫃體上可能發生的日常行為並將其歸納分類，然後據此進行設計。於是櫃子的各個空間用作人的行為的容器，在視覺感官上模糊建築與家具的界限。

整體造型似一棟完整的微觀建築，強化“城市收納盒”的形式，收納功能完美融合在形式之中，突破常規限定。
